If you like referencing your db context in your Razor views that is on you but for those of us that like building software the correct way then this is a terrible idea. Bind your Razor view to a view model class, any data needed for the view is stored in an instance of the view model created by the controller.

You have to start considering the amount of manual work you are obligating to your colleagues.
